My Passions!

To show just how crazy my life is, I started this blog a month ago by uploading the photos and never had time to finish it! So, now I'm going to try, but I know it won't be as good since it's not fresh in my mind.
As you can see by the title it is about the passions of my life. I had just attended the Regional Convention for Creative Memories (which is what the photos below are from). I have been a Consultant for CM for ten years now, and I know that I am a lifetime consultant. I love CM because it combines my top two passions, teaching and photography.
I love teaching people how to preserve their life story through the photos they are taking. It is so sad to me that there are so many people out there that aren't taking the time to do this. Most people use the excuse that they don't have time, or they aren't crafty, or they don't have the money. Well, first of all, you need to make the time, even if it is just once a month or so. Second of all, you don't have to be crafty, CM has never been about being crafty. Yes, we sell stickers and other decorative items, but that isn't what it is about. It is about your photos and the stories behind them, and it always has been. CM was founded on the mission of Preserving the Past, Enriching the Present and Inspiring hope for the Future. And as far as not having the money, well you spent money on your camera, and your computer and when there was film, or if you still have film, you spent money on developing that. Keeping those photos only on your camera, or computer, or blog, or facebook, or myspace, or cell phone.... they are just going to get lost and those things don't last forever.
If you don't already scrapbook, then you should. And you should only buy CM products because we are the only company that researches every product we sell before we ever release it to make sure that it will not harm your photos and therefore ruining your story from being told to future generations. CM spends a million dollars a year on research. I can guarantee you all those other companies combined don't even spend one thousand. Because they all jumped on the band wagon, they don't care about your story, they care about your money.
Anyway, the theme this year was Put Your Heart Into It and the new tagline is Make Every Moment Count. So, that is my goal for this coming year and I hope you will take it into consideration for yours too! Being 1600 miles away from most of the people I love makes every moment a little hard, so I definitely need to make them count! Anyone who knows me knows that I wear my heart on my sleeve, so putting my heart into it will definitely be easy.
Enjoy the pictures below!

The Theme

Only in Texas would someone be waving the state flag to get the attention of their group members to find them. This definitely wouldn't happen in CA!

One of the quotes I liked

New tagline for CM

I got to stand up at this point

Thank you!

Another quote I liked

Asha Moran, me, Debbie, and Dawn Edens (all from Corporate)

Two ladies that I sat next to all weekend and became friends with. They live in Corpus Christi, TX... which is a few hours south of me.
