Nike Human Race Pictures

Okay, this time I was smart and added all the pictures first, in reverse order so I wouldn't have to rearrange anything! :) Much better! This is the race that happened the day after I got here. The Nike Human Race 10K was a race that happened all over the world on the same day in different cities, Austin was one of the three US Cities. The race was at 6pm and it was like 100 degrees outside... plus beautiful humidity! Welcome to Texas! LOL! Below are some of the pictures that I took. (Because I was photographer/babysitter!)

Greg and Steph by the starting line and Human Race sign :)
The kiddos.. Daniella and Brady... all set in the wagon! :)
Steph holding up the race course map
It's downtown Austin, so we were right by the capitol... Greg and Steph
Proof that I was there... but I hate this picture I was already so sweaty and we had only been there about 20 minutes.
The whole fam waiting for the race to start
Daniella... it's hot!
Brady, eating all the snacks before the race even starts
The race starting
Lance Armstrong is in the yellow

Steph and Greg starting (with the 9 minute mile group)
After Greg and Steph passed we went to our spot toward the end (one block over) to wait to take pics of them coming by. Brady and Daniella found a wall fountain to play in next to a restaurant... until the hostess made them stop
Posing for pictures while we are waiting for runners to come by
Lance Armstrong... 6th place
Matthew McConnahottie... I was watching for him to be with his shirt off (because he's always photographed without his shirt on everywhere he goes) and all of a sudden he was literally right next to me (I'm talking inches, I could've reached out and touched him if I wasn't star struck), so I just got a picture of the back of his head, and then one of him running down the street. He came in 128th place.

Greg waving to us as he is coming up to us... he stopped and gave the kids kisses and hugs
Steph completely forgot that we were going to be waiting there, so she ran right by us and didn't hear us calling out to her!
So we rushed down the block to get pictures of her coming up to the finish line. She was running really fast!
All done!!!! They did great! There was still a lot of people still running. I don't remember what places they got... and they are asleep right now, but I know that they beat thousands of people (there were over 13,000 people racing in Austin).
It was still fun to get to see Lance Armstrong and Matthew McConahottie when I hadn't even been in Texas for 24 hours! Woo-Hoo! Oh, and they both live here, so chances of seeing them again are good! :)
